Weekend Fun With the Princesses

We had a really nice weekend this weekend. Didn't do anything exceptionally spectacular, but I snapped these pictures and thought I would share them.

Exploring MOSI

We went to the Museum of Science and Industry. It was fun and educational. I think that a lot of it was over the girls heads, but it was still fun. They had a natural disasters section which pretty much freaked Juliana out. Natural fear I suppose. And an exhibit on the developing body. Thia was pretty neat. The funniest thing was in the kids area they had a plastic cow that you could actually milk. Hilarious! They had a game with a dinosaur head and you put the teeth in its mouth. It was so disturbing! The kids section was awesome. They experimented with lots of manipulative toys and games. Plus they got to practice grocery shopping for healthy foods. Too bad they didn't teach them how to make dinner too.

Monkey Strikes Again

The girls were playing so nicely last night. Juliana went into the bathroom and even helped Ella brush her teeth. I just let them be, as they were being so good. The next thing I hear is Ella squealing. Knowing the sound I knew she was stuck and couldn't get down. My first thought was that she climbed the step stool at the sink and was not sure how to go back down. When I get in there, I see this. Yes, somehow she managed to climb into the sink all by herself. I feel grey hair taking over my head. Can you wrap a monkey in bubble wrap?

Juliana Having Fun

Eric came in after work and fell asleep on the couch. I don't think this was acceptable to the girls because they wanted to play with their daddy. I thought they had finally given up on trying to wake him but then something funny happened. Juliana decided to give her daddy a new do. She helped him look very pretty by putting the Snow White wig on. Doesn't he look beautiful?

C is for Cookie

I helped the girls make cookies. Juliana wanted to make sprinkle cookies and she had so much fun. Ella of course was right there helping to. They put the dough onto the cookie sheet and added the sprinkles. Then Juliana put them in the oven by herself - she was very careful. We learned about the timer and when it went off everyone went running to get them out. As soon as I put them on the rack to cool, little hands were grabbing at them. They did a great job and had a lot of fun!

So sweet

The girls were given two new princess chairs from their Nana and Grandad. They were sitting together holding hands and actually stayed still long enough for me to snap a picture. You'll notice that Ella's showing proof that her molars are coming in. Poor baby.

Our Little Reader

I have been trying forever to get Ella reading on video. It is the cutest thing. I finally got the tail end of it the other day.

Tinkerbell

Has arrived in our home. She is very proud of it and told me she can't wear the wings because she will fly and hit the fan. Rolling in laughter here. And if you look closer, our little Tinkerbell still wears her accessories at bedtime.

Caught the Monkeys

In case you ever wondered why anyone should get their kids a playhouse, it is not to play house. This is what I caught my monkeys doing with it. I think they might have a future in roofing.

Watch Out!

Another princess is making her reign known.

Warning...

Late night walks put kids to sleep. Excellent!

A Clean Bill of Health

Well checks today. Dr. Mark is our favorite.

Juliana went for her 3 year. She weighs 39 lbs and is 41" tall. She did so good. She peed in a cup which was much fun. She said it was her favorite part to watch me catch her pee. Nice huh? They checked her hemoglobin and she was a trooper well until they put the band-aid on and then she freaked. Band aids are not welcome with her. She got her flu shot and was so cool about it. But the nurse had to promise she wouldn't go near her with that band aid.

Ella had her 15 month well check and weighed in at 21lbs 12 oz and was 32" long. She got 2 shots poor baby and then her flu shot. She screamed through her entire well check. She must not be too fond of being naked in front of strangers. Smart Girl!

A Round of lollipops made it all better.
